  Swim Welcome to Kilrush, this swim has everything you need… its an open sea swim with the added bonus of no waves, no tide and no current. . how is this you ask? The swim will be held in the beautiful Kilrush marina which has gates which close out the elements so 750m really means 750m. Bike The 20k bike section is set in beautiful rolling countryside, making a snaking trip around Cappa and out to Killimer and making your way back into Kilrush... 

  Swim Info The swim course is upstream 250M amd downstream 500M swim to the rowing club. Safety in the water is our main concern. We will have divers, kayaks and speed boat in the water on the day. Swim:- The swim takes place in the pristine waters of Lough Lene, Collinstown. The lake waters are generally calm but are subject to a bit of chop if there’s a strong wind. Competitors will be counted in via the pier. The swim is 750 metres and will start from near the pier. Swimmers will head to the 1st buoy turn right, to the second buoy turn right and then towards the slipway. So it’s a clockwise swim, keeping buoys on your right. Wetsuits...

The Sprint Triathlon will start on Sunday 11th at 1.30pm. It will consist of a 750m swim in the crystal clear waters of Loughrea lake. There will be no shopping trolleys, murky reeds or beers cans at the bottom of this lake, just clean, clear water and a sandy base. The Blacksod Point Challenge involves a 1500m endurance swim in Blacksod Bay, a forty three kilometre cycle to Belmullet town, passing the highest point on the Erris peninsula followed by an amazing ten kilometre run across the sand dunes of Falmore.
