Trailtrekker – 1-2 Sept
“Your feet ache. Your legs burn. But your heart soars….” now if a line like that doesnt catch your attention then nothing will. Trailtrekker returns this year and promises to be another great occasion. Participants will set out on either a 50km or 100km trek from Newcastle, Co. Down to Carlingford, Co. Louth over one weekend.

Art O’Neill Challenge – Jan 13th
Follow in the footsteps of Red Hugh O’Donnell and Art O’Neill along their 1592 prison escape. Moonlight Challenge – 12th Nov
Under the light of November’s full moon hike from Crone Forest to Laragh along the Wicklow Way in aid of the Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team. This fundraiser will go towards building a rescue base for the team.
Registration for the event will cost €25 with a further €75 to be raised in sponsorship. This event is suitable for all levels of fitness.

Oxfam Trailtrekker – Sept 10th
Donard to Carlingford by foot and boat. Trek 50km or 100km this September 10th and 11th in aid of Oxfam Ireland. Trekkers will follow a specifically developed signed route with numerous checkpoints along the way and will be transported across Carlingford Lough by boat. Trekkers of all abilities are encouraged to take part in this memorable event.

Puppy Love Hill Walk
Join Avril Mulcahy and Red fm’s DJ Dave Mac as they hill walk this July 23rd in Aid of the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. This is however no ordinary hillwalk, this is a singles hill walking event. Participants will trek from Kenmare to Killarney enjoying some of the most breathtaking scenery in Ireland.
Participants are asked to raise a minimum of €30 to take part in the event.
