The midlands is getting its first Adventure Race and its called the Lilliput Legend. Right in the middle of the summer participants will descend on Mullingar for this inaugural race. There are two options available the ‘Kick Ass’ and the ‘Bad Ass’ courses. The ‘Kick Ass’ course involves a longer run and cycle. Formerly the West Wicklow Roar, the Moxie Challenge – ‘The Day in the Garden’ is another Adventure Race that packs a real punch. Participants can expect to push their limits as they kayak on the Blessington lakes, Hill Run and cycle the hills of Wicklow. Pieta House will this year host their annual Darkness into Light this May 12th. Pieta House is a Centre for the Prevention of Self-Harm and Suicide based in Lucan, Co. Dublin but also located throughout Dublin and in Limerick. The Darkness into Light 5km walk, jog or run is being run in 14 locations across the country. This event will see 48 participants cycle in tandem for 24 hours non stop around St Stephen’s Green in Dublin.
